What Day is Today?
Hi! How are you today?
I cannot believe it's Thursday! These four-day weeks always throw me off - keep feeling as if it's only Wednesday.
Ok, so it is Thursday...Throwback Thursday, to be exact! And it's my turn to continue with the next installment of Elisa's Throwback China Adventure - Part 11: Onward to Xi'an. This was probably one of the worst flights I've EVER been on in my life.
My travel companion, and long-time friend, Cheryl and I flew China Airlines from Beijing to the ancient city of Xi'an - home of the Terra Cotta Soldiers. Additionally, the runway was basically a field and people were riding bicycles onto it as we landed. Very primate and yet there was something refreshing and exciting about being in such a remote location.

GREAT NEWS FOR AIR TRAVEL WITH ANIMALS!!
I am so excited about the news I announced yesterday in The Daily Scoop about the 178,000-foot comprehensive multi-purpose animal handling and air cargo facility opening at Kennedy Airport, NYC in 2016. Just wrote an article with all the details - please CLICK HERE and send the link to others who may be interested!
Did I mention to you that I'm writing a screenplay with my sis? Yes, it's a labor of love and we've been working on it for about 20 months now. We just kicked it into high gear and have been working on it non-stop.
Our goal is to complete it within the next 3 months and begin putting a team together and raising funds to film it independently. That is our plan, provided we do not sell the rights to have someone else produce it! Any input is certainly welcome!!! This is a new venture and we have so much excitement about it!
Ok - peeps - lots of writing to do today before the kiddies get home from school.
Love ya all!!
The Death of a Friendship
Ups and Downs. We all have 'em, it's the Roller Coaster of Life!
The key is to not allow the bad to ever overcome the good.
At those low times in our lives, we must realize that we are only giving into our fears.
Who really knew we were so afraid?!
Take into consideration that FEAR is on the opposite spectrum of LOVE, and that LOVE is the only way!
Things don't always have to be logical, they need to be felt, and we must allow our Heart to sometimes lead the way.
I've had a few rough days this past week.
I've been dealing with a friend's fears, I've tried my hardest to help them with all of my might!
I thought I was getting somewhere, but I have lost them.
Sleepless nights, crying, loss of appetite (and you know how much I love food), you name it...
Obviously they just weren't strong enough to battle their fears and they allowed themselves to get sucked into the vortex of the EGO.
Sadly they have even turned their back on our friendship in doing so.
So, it's not a very happy time for me, as I mourn the death of our friendship.
I however am not a selfish person, and I only wish them the best. I pray for them to work out their own issues and find their true happiness.
I do have to keep reminding myself that it's not something for me to take personal.
I didn't and couldn't hurt anyone.
That's just not who I am.
And yet at the same time I get confused as to how the value of friendship is really not something that most people actually value or hold true.
A friend has compassion, and cares. A friend would never turn their back on another friend.
So for me this Throwback Thursday is a bit of a somber one; in remembrance of all those "friends" that I gave my heart to, and that still managed to say good bye!
But as the saying goes Life Must Go On!
And so it does, and so we learn and we grow, and hopefully we blossom into becoming our best possible self. And behave as our best possible self at any given moment.
- then at least we are on the right track.
Wishing that you can see all the beauty that surrounds you!
I'll be back here tomorrow, see ya then,
