Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 10 DAYS
WELL HELLO HELLO!
It's January 20th and I'm back in SoCal. Back from my 2nd trip of 2018 and in 10 days from now we will be off and onto my 3rd trip of the year! Not too SHABBY if I may say so myself. *wink wink
We are Diehards!!!!
Although we had a 9hr drive home yesterday being that it had snowed the night before - there was just no way I could leave without hitting the POW POW and getting some freshies!
While these pictures clearly do not represent some of the fresh powder that we conquered, they do still show the beauty and awesome views from Heavenly Ski Resort.
Cosette had decided that although there was fresh snow that she would not to hit the mountain, because she doesn't like skiing and going on a road trip on the same day! LOL...Kids!
So if was just Dominic and I... And a bunch of feisty other peeps on the mountain yesterday. Between big beefy men taking the shirts off (wth?!), guys skiing in Hugh Hefner robes, a snow boarder group harassing (bullying) an old gentlemen skier and more... It was quite a day of antics on the slopes.
Of course we managed to have a great time out there. And after 5 full consecutive days of hitting the slopes - our legs aren't even sore and we are ready for MORE!
So on that note, we are going Ice Skating today (do you kinda get the picture that I am a very active person?!), I'll also be going for a much needed manicure and then hopefully to get my ski repaired and ready for our next trip.
Ohhhh yea and btw I've also spent the morning making bookings for even more getaways... Be sure to come back to find out what they are!
Off to go Ice Skating.

Astoria, Queens Foodie Memories
Howdy! Am I happy today is Saturday! It felt so refreshing to wake up naturally, without the alarm going off.
It was also wonderful to have the sun shining brightly through my bedroom window!
I kept plans light for the weekend, so today we'll probably just relax and go out for lunch.
Tomorrow, however, we will be celebrating Gianna's high school acceptance, honors classes and scholarship with a luncheon in Astoria with Aunt Ro.
Gianna's great aunt suggested we have a special get together in honor of her amazing accomplishment! I'm pretty sure the venue will include Italian food of some sort, considering it will be Sunday and we are, Italian! The combination of great eateries in Astoria, Queens and Aunt Ro's restaurant choices, I know the meal will be dee-lish!
Here are a few foodie memories spent in Astoria with my dear aunt:
