Springtime Events Around the Globe
Are you having a nice weekend so far? Mine has been very relaxing.
Yesterday, I paid a visit to the African American Museum of Nassau County. I took a bunch of photos and can't wait to tell you all about this lovely and culturally rich museum right here on Long Island in Hempstead.
Is anyone else ready to usher in Spring. Well, according to Punxsutawney Phil, earlier this month, we are still in for another 5 or so weeks of Winter.
I just love New Orleans! Such a festive city, great food and Jazz, Jazz, Jazz!
This year, 2018, is especially special for The Big Easy as the city is turning 300!
The Jazz & Heritage Festival lineup always includes lots of artists from jazz and well beyond. This year's performers include Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Lionel Ritchie, Sting, Tributes to Louis Armstrong and Fats Domino and so many more!!
Should your travel plans include Springtime in Paris, head on over to Berck-sur-Mer, a two-and-a-half drive north, where the annual International Kite Festival will take place! it includes kites in all shapes and sizes as well as team competitions, kite battles, a night flight, and fireworks during this nine-day event.
Toronto is home to the largest documentary film festival in North America. This annual event will screen more than 200 films from around the world (with some going on to receive Oscar nominations). Last year, attendance hit a record high, welcoming 215,000 viewers. This year, marks the festival's 25th anniversary and will again offer attendees the opportunity to watch many of the world’s best short, mid-length, and feature documentaries.
Angels in America returns to the stage after 25 years in a limited 18-week engagement at the Neil Simon Theatre; tickets are for both parts of the play, Millenium and Perestroika.
This is the first Broadway revival of this epic, two-part Pulitzer Prize–winning play fresh off its run in London. It will star Oscar-nominee Andrew Garfield and Tony-winner Nathan Lane? , and seats are selling fast.

One of the best contemporary art museums in Los Angeles teams up with London’s Royal Academy of Arts to present this special exhibition by iconic American artist Jasper Johns. The exhibit will showcase six decades of artwork by this iconic American artist, many of which have never before been presented in Los Angeles.
