But boy was I running behind (on my packing), I didn't do it until last night...in fact I still haven't finished unpacking from last week!
OH WELL...Hopefully I'll get it done on Monday.
I had better things to do yesterday, and I took Cosette to go see Dream.
Yes it was hot, but not as bad as it could've been..
And yes there were flies, but again it was not as bad as it could've been.
Then once we had left the stables and finished all of my errands, we went to go return those horrendous sandals (the ones that gave me terrible blisters on top on my feet - that are still scabbed up!)
Well...then we got swallowed up by Kohls!
They were having a wonderful sale and I just had to take a look...and that started a lovely little unexpected shopping day for me and Cosette!
It was fun and she loved it!
Then it was suppose to be a semi early night to bed for us, since we had to wake up quite early and get on the road... But of course that didn't stop me from staying up late!
As you know I'm always up and about and forever on the go & early this morning (4a) we headed out towards Temecula (San Diego county wine country) to meet up with Panorama Balloons for our sunrise hot air balloon ride! Weeeeeee!
We soared up to 6,000 feet and were well above the clouds as we floated in the skies above Temecula.
It was a great morning, filled with epic views, and ended with a Ballooners prayer:
May the winds welcome you with softness.
May the sun bless you with its warm hands.
May you fly so high and so well that God
joins you in laughter and sets you gently
back into the loving arms of Mother Earth.

Toasting with Sparkling Cider
Once the ride was over, we all toasted to Mimosas, and Sparkling Cider and then started on our way back into town.
Passing the Old Town section of Temecula on our way to breakfast...
What comes next will be in tomorrow's Daily Scoop!
And I know that you know that I took bunches of pictures...I will be doing an upcoming piece on this Ballooning, Biking and Baseball weekend - stay tuned!

NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: SEPTEMBER
Time Spent with Mom & Dad
Saturday! Yay! Love the weekend!!
Today is going to be a little unusual for me. I decided to take the day (and the night) and spend one-on-one time with my Mom and Dad.
I feel like sometimes life just slips by and weeks will go by without me seeing and sometimes talking to my parents.
When I visit Mom and Dad, it's usually with my girls and thought I love the "whole family" time, it doesn't really leave enough private moments for me to bond with them.
After finding out that their day was clear, I decided to spend a "Mommy & Daddy & Me" day! lol
We don't have big plans - mostly to just hang out, chat -maybe a nice al fresco lunch. I also brought tons of veggies from my garden - fresh kale, grape tomatoes, cucumbers and basil, with which I'm planning to cook them a nice veggie and pasta dinner!!
I love cooking with my Dad!!

Shopping talk... We've been talking a great deal about back-to-school the past few days...and considering that we only have about another week before the kiddies go back (September 2nd for mine), I thought I'd feature some of the mandatory items I recently had to purchase.
If you haven't already bought your kids' school supplies, here are a few links:
Crayola Colored Pencils - 24 Count
Every year, this is a staple on the kids' supply list.
I was lucky enough to get two years out of my girls' back packs, but it was time to get new ones for this year.
Clorox Disinfecting Wipes
The past few years, disinfecting wipes have become a requirement in the classrooms.
I hope these links are helpful to you!
So, I was out bright and early this morning to go get myself beautified!! Hair day. Color, conditioning treatment and a blow out!
What luck too - it is one of the nicest days this summer - cool, no humidity! The perfect day to get my hair done!!
I thought you would get a kick out of "the process" with these pictures that my friend Akeem took of me today!

Getting my hair blown out by Blanca

Ismari's Hair Placeis an intimate, upscale hair salon serving Long Island, Manhattan and vicinities. They offer a full range of services and retail products. Services include cuts & styling, color & chemical, make-up, special events and nails.
I trust Ismari, Blanca and their entire staff impeccably and can't imagine going anywhere else!!
