Welcome to Travelin' Cousins.
It's Thursday and it's only one more day before I'm off again!
If you recall, we just got back home from our long Summer Trip exactly one week ago.
Sometimes people ask if I ever get tired of traveling and why don't I take a break...
Well the answer is: NO. I DON'T GET TIRED OF TRAVELING!
Today is a new day and with lots to be done...
One of the things on my list is heading out to Chino to take Cosette to see Dream! She hasn't seen her Dream beam since before she left for our vacation (7/10) and I haven't seen Dream since before I left for my vacation (6/22).
Cosette on Dream many many years ago, and my sister Brigitte holding the lead. (2004)
I'm sure that she is looking very forward to her visit, but I'm just concerned with the heat... The past couple of days have barely be bearable, I actually mean they've basically been unbearable. And when I'm hot, I make for a rather unhappy camper. - don't you?
Let's also not forget that with it being Thursday, that makes it TBT (Throwback Thursday) here at TC. This week is Elisa's turn to share a throwback story, and she has chosen a memory of attending cooking class while in Tuscany, Italy with us all! It sounds amazing! Tuscany is a beautiful and quite wonderful place. I look forward to going back!
Relaxing in the Tuscan countryside. (2009)
Back to today. Sorry I'm bouncing around so much. LOL
I've gotta finish shopping and filling the fridge and the cabinets for the household - as I like to leave meal plans for family when I go out of town to make life easier on the crew here while I am away.
I've also gotta go pick up a few items that I purchased online for the trip - this should be an easy in and out...unless something catches my eye!
And then back to Dominic's classes later on tonight; I plan on bringing my Spain guide book with me to studied up on the trip that I booked yesterday!
If you are interested in buying the latest edition of this very informative book you can do so by clicking the link provided:
While I'm here all super excited about the trip...I get the feeling that someone here isn't quite as thrilled with the plans. UGH
In fact it isn't just a feeling that I get, we had a long conversation/debate over the plans for the trip just last night.
Speaking of trips, I went to get my Mani/Pedi last night and went with a bright cheery summery "Island" theme!
I'm basically finished packing. I have a few more odds and ends to toss in my bag and then I should be ready to go! Think I'll manage this task, this afternoon.
Then I'm back here tomorrow morning before heading out. I'll be posting a DELICIOUS FOODIE FRIDAY FEATURE, getting my hair "did" and saying ADDIOS!
Until then please enjoy the additional photo picks that I've selected for this weeks TBT -
Hope you have a great day, and don't forget to take life by the horns!
Catch ya later,

Throwin' it Back to Tuscany
Greetings from Remsenburg! Hope your day is going well!!
I know I've been like a yoyo during the past week. One day in Nassau, two days in Remsenburg; one day in Remsenburg, two days in Nassau.
Such is the nature of my Summer schedule. Having a primary residence and weekend house only an hour from one another, makes it possible to go back and forth and enjoy regularly depending on what is going on in each location.
So, an update on my master bath...the plumber completed the work yesterday and now my shower is fixed. The tile installer will replace the shower flooring and part of the wall tile next week.
That should end the saga of this bathroom leak. The last step will be the patching of my living room ceiling which has had a huge hole for the past few months. The joys of owning a 100+ year old house.
Yesterday, Gianna made the most awesome red velvet cake with her friend Bella. The girls have baked together before and they are both so meticulous about the art of baking. Taking such care and working so methodically.
The cake was truly a work of art - the way they decorated the top of it and managed to make the two layers perfectly even! As it good as it looked, was as good as it taste!!
I'm going to have to add the pictures I took yesterday later on because A D D girl (me) left her camera at home in Nassau. Running back and forth between these two houses, I'm always forgetting something.
I'll be heading back to Nassau (yet again) later this afternoon, at which point, I'll update this blog post.
In the meantime, take my word for it...this was some amazing cake!!!

Today is Throwback Thursday and I am excited to share with you, a feature about a cooking class I took in San Gimignano, Tuscany (Italy) last August with my mom, Gianna and Kelsey.
What an experience it was making a variety of home-cooked Italian specialties with my girls in the "homeland" and then sitting outside, overlooking the Tuscan countryside, eating our culinary masterpiece meal!!

I dropped Kelsey off at Horseback riding this morning- OMG - what a story! She was carrying on about not going because Sarah slept over last night and since Gianna is not starting riding till Monday, she and Sarah will be hanging out all day together and Kelsey didn't want to miss out.
She was crying, telling me what a bad mother I was who "doesn't care about her child" and so on an so forth. In the end, I told her she had to go, but compromised for her to go for half a day. Gee, I'm sorry that I'm torturing you with a day at the barn with magnificent animals and invigorating riding. Brat!
The rest of my day is pretty busy with several conference calls including an important one for my new "cupcake accessory" item. So very excited about it!!
I'll be heading back to Nassau around 4:15 today with the kiddies. Probably just a relaxing evening at home and lots of running around to do tomorrow.
Just a preview of what's happening the balance of the week:
