GREETINGS from HOT HOT HOT Southern California - ok we are not talking Africa hot, and luckily we aren't talking humidity!
But we are talking draining uncomfortable hotness.
The type that you don't care to venture outdoors and the type where if you aren't in the A/C that you are probably collapsed somewhere and can't bear to move hot.
Lazy Hot. Yucky Hot. Please bring on the Fall Hot.
Yeah, and I'm the one who is going to Las Vegas next week - where the temperatures usually hover over 100F in the summer! Can you say YUCK?
But the good news is that the weather forecast is showing 90's for once we are there (which are the temps I'm complaining about here in SoCal!) Go figure.
As you know, today is TBT and I'm throwing it back for you with a few pictures and a story that just cracks me up! I hope you enjoy it - read it HERE!

So as far as yesterday went, it was a fairly mellow day with much being accomplished. But it was also a day where I was completely mentally restless... I was in the mood to be traveling - yes I know that I just got home last week from a wonderful trip to the Caribbean..
Enjoying St. Martin! circa 2015
..and I know that my summer (my year for that matter) has been filled with globe trotting - but I really was just having mega yearning for being in Italy! And technically it's not even on the calendar until 2017. And for me that's a long time to wait!
One thing that I was glad to have taken care of yesterday was booking our tour for the Neon Museum in Las Vegas - as I had thought it was a walk up self guided tour - I was wrong, and I'm glad that I further researched and found out that nearly all the time slots were fully booked. We were lucky to get tickets! Itinerary can be found HERE.
I've also been working on the itinerary for our Hawaii Trip - which should be updated later today.
Another thing that I've been taking care of is the pre-planning of all the upcoming FOODIE holidays and occasions! Menus and delicious food GALORE!
So on that note, I will bid you adieu and hopefully it's not to HOT for me to squeeze in a workout! -T

1987 - Seriously what was I thinking with this outfit?
As for me, I'm back in Nassau today after a quick hour drive from Remsenburg. I'll be catching up on a number of errands today, one of which is getting the kids uniforms ready for next Wednesday, when they start the new school year.
I might have mentioned to you that the girls were in horseback riding camp for the full week, but what I didn't realize was that it is only a 3-day riding week because the Hampton Classic is happening all this week - August 23-30.
If you are not familiar with this event, the Hampton Classic is one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the United States, and a premier destination for horse people. The Classic features some of the top jumper riders from around the world, coming to compete for some of the richest prize money offered in America
This event has become known for celebrity sightings as well as exclusive, high-end shopping boutiques. I had the pleasure of attending two years ago with my friend Maria. It was truly breathtaking to watch the skill of the horse riders on their magnificent animals.

Should you desire to attend, the final weekend’s Hunter Classics (this weekend) bring out the best of the best!
WHERE: Bridgehampton, NY (off Montauk Highway, Route 27 at 240 Snake Hollow Road), 65-acre showgrounds.
GENERAL ADMISSION: Daily: $10/person (under 6 free) or $20/carload
It's a wonderful way to spend the day and a great event to bid farewell to Summer.
The next few days are pretty busy for me...
Tomorrow, I'll be headed to Coney Island, Brooklyn to take the girls to Luna Park for a fun day of rides!
Saturday will be a pampering day - getting my hair and nails done. Then on Sunday, I'll be heading back out East for dinner in Westhampton Beach and a show at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center to see The Bronx Wanderers!!
I'm so excited about this show, since these talented guys are childhood friends with my friend John. So, I'll be getting up close and personal with them after the show. Looking forward to a few photo ops!!
There will be a big crowd, as I will be attending with John and his family and friends, Lisa and her daughter Sarah, and, of course, my family.

Last night was just a nice and enjoyable evening. I met Lisa in Westhampton Beach for dinner at Mambo Kitchen. She was in the mood for crepes, which they are known in town for; and considering that Sarah has been staying at our house all week, she was ready to see her little girl.
I hadn't just hung out with Lisa in a while, so we chatted away during dinner and then walking along Main Street, while the three girls enjoyed doing some window shopping.
Sarah came back with us again, as she'll be heading back to Nassau with us tomorrow and joining us at Luna Park on Friday.
Me and the three girls went for a long bicycle ride when we got back to the house last night after dinner. We made several deer sightings. Of course, I did not remember to bring my camera all evening, so I have no pictures to show for it! :-(
