From start to finish, what a very fabulous day yesterday was... Okay I have to admit that there was a brief section in the middle that wasn't so fabulous - as I was very angry with Dave!
But as always things turned out for the best and the show must go on!

While I don't have all the time in the world to go into lovely details with you about all the great sights I saw, all the fantastic food that I ate, and all the wonderful people that I met - I will be writing an upcoming Ballooning, Biking, and Baseball Weekend Report, along with doing a couple of FUTURE FOODIE FRIDAY reviews on 2 restaurants that I will definitely be returning to and that I highly recommend you trying!
The reason that I don't have much time this morning to share more with you is that we (Dave and I) are about to head out and pedal away in the 8th annual Bike the Bay!
And after our ride we will be heading over to watch a Padres vs Cardinals game at Petco Park (where the 2016 MLB All Star Game will be hosted/played)!
Ok folks, it's time for me to head out. I hope that you have an amazing Sunday and that you meet me back here tomorrow for lots more SCOOP here on the Daily!
Ciao 4 now, -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: SEPTEMBER
HEY PEEPS!! Happy Sunny Sunday!!
So, when I woke up early this morning, it looked as if it was going to be a cloudy and humid day. However, here it is, a few hours later and the sun is shining and it is dry and breezy. Love it!
I'll be heading out east this morning. This week, the girls will be in horseback riding camp for the last time this summer, so I'll be making home-base Remsenburg (Westhampton) this entire week. With school starting in a little more than a week, we will resume our weekly Saturday riding days the weekend after Labor Day.
With Mom and Dad at "The Reel" Restaurant in East Rockaway
As for yesterday, I had an amazing day! I spent my day with Mom and Dad. First, we had a nice lunch at The Reel Restaurant. This lovely seafood joint is right on the canal in a small hamlet of East Rockaway.
I'm not a big seafood eater, but the atmosphere here is so enjoyable that I always manage to find something on the menu.
The rest of the afternoon, I hung out with the parents, shooting the breeze and relaxing on the porch with Dad. I even managed to watch a movie on Netflix with him.
My evening with the two of them was filled with more food and more movies. We ordered in Italian food since neither one of them likes Kale (surprise! since I brought over so much from my garden) and we watched the Turner Movie Classic channel, catching Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution with Charles Laughton, Tyrone Power and Marlene Dietrich.
A real classic directed by Billy Wilder. I say this, because if I didn't know it, I would have thought it was a Hitchcock film.
Did you check out Tanya's blog today and her re-cap of her day in San Diego yesterday?? Certainly looks like she is having fun...and...the views are beautiful!!
Well, folks, I've got to get on the road.
Gonna take my delicious Kale smoothie and get myself going!!
