Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: Puerto Rico
Back in Puerto Rico
Well HELLO Ladies and Gents,
Greetings once again from San Juan, Puerto Rico
We are BAAAAAACK safe and sound after taking a wonderful cruise exploring several Caribbean islands - including St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten (which was a 2 for 1 - 2 countries in one stop)!
We’ve had a blast and before we head back to sunny Southern California and my (BIG) babies, we’ll be touring San Juan just a bit more...(if possible!)
Yesterday was great fun as we explored both the Dutch St. Maarten and French St. Martin and have already decided that we want to return!
At Dream Beach - one of my favs!
Speaking of returning…once we were back on the ship I started researching more cruises! Go figure!
Anyhow, after looking at my calendarI’ve decided that we should come back to the Caribbean in 2017 with the kids - now I’ve just gotta find a good itinerary…
There’s always fun on the horizon!
So I guess today is Sunday, and it’s gonna be a L O N G one for me.
I’ll be starting out on the cruise ship this morning and then spending the later part of the morning and the afternoon in San Juan.
All before heading to the airport and flying back to San Diego, where the night will continue with a fairly long drive home (but we will gain 3 hours in the air!)
We should hopefully be pulling into our driveway before midnight!
And after 9 days of island hopping, I've gotta say that with each day I got more and more tan! This was without any efforts of doing so and with attempting to stay in shade as much as possible. But even so I'm a bit of a crispy critter!
The line for customs was really long this morning - the longest I've ever experienced - and I'm always going through customs somewhere!
I'm gonna leave you with a few pictures from yesterday, wish you a fabulous Sunday & look forward to a great week ahead where I will be filling you in on all that you missed, plenty of pictures that I wasn't able to upload and lots more to look forward to on the horizon!
See ya back in SoCal! -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: SEPTEMBER
Family Fun Day in Quogue, Long Island
Good day folks!! How's your weekend so far?
First and foremost, did you see my Daily Scoop yesterday with my shopping links for my Palladium boots?? And Tanya's detailed scoop about her day in St. Maarten? Well, for some reason, I don't think it got emailed - technology baffles me, but CLICK HERE if you missed it.
Today is going to be a short scoop folks, as I've got a busy day with the FAM out east.
I sort of collapsed yesterday late morning and took a long nap (much needed with my back pain) so I decided to put off our trip to the Quogue Refuge Center until today.CLICK HERE for more information.
That is where I'm headed! Thanks to my handsome husband, Tedd, for doing a little research and finding this fun activity for us to do today with the kiddies!
The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a 300 acre non-profit nature preserve in Quogue, Long Island. It was founded in 1934 and is home to diverse wildlife.
That's right! Right here on Long Island, a complex that is the permanent home to injured wildlife that can no long survive in the wild without the help of human care.
Animals found here include a bobcat, owls, falcons, a bald eagle, foxes and other native New York animals.
This outdoor wildlife refuge is open 365 days a year - opening at sunrise and closing at sunset. There are also seven miles of trails to explore which include forest and ponds and the rare Dwarf Pines in the Pine Barrens.
It should be a fun day for all!! I'm hoping my bestie, Lisa and her daughter Sarah will be joining us as well!
Last night I hung out with my sweet Gianna. We had a scrumptious dinner at the Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City and then went to the movies.
Nothing much playing in the "PG/PG-13" rating except for Ricki and the Flash with Meryl Streep.
Mommy & Gianna at The Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City
As always, Ms. Streep was amazing!! She is just as talented as they come!
But, honestly, the movie pretty much sucked! Gianna was bored out of her mind and I was not far behind! Save your money and wait till it comes on cable.
I'm sorry this is a short one folks, but I have to get going!!
Hope you have a special day, surrounded by people you love!!!
