This week has been a perfect mix of productive, and mellow - definitely kind of weird, but I'm going with it.. It also hasn't been nearly as HOT. Thank you GOD!
And today should be on the same tract in terms of productivity and mellowness.
Later this afternoon I finally have an appointment to go get a much needed Mani/Pedi and just in time to show off my fingers and toes in Las Vegas!
Only 3 days to go and we will be enjoying a very fun filled extended weekend in good 'ol Sin City!
I think that we are all looking forward to the trip, and as far as my sis goes... She's still not sure that they are coming or not. It'll probably go something like this - if she wakes up on the morning of and is in the mood to go then they will go. If not then they will stay home.
It's pretty darn funny when you think about the differences between me and the rest of my family - maybe I was adopted?!
I'm the planner and the doer. I plan plan plan, then do do do and always have something to look forward to. I always know what's next and where I'm going for years out... They hate committing and don't like planning. Which I suppose is better than those who agree to do things and then FLAKE. That is the worst - DON'T BE A FLAKE!
If you are into planning and being that it's W2GW I'll highlight things from Vegas (since we're heading there) as well as SoCal:
HERE'S an Annual Event that seems to get most locals excited...
The kiddos and their choir use to perform at this event!
Founded in 1973, the Orange International Street Fair was formed to produce the annual Orange International Street Fair (OISF) event held in Old Town Orange, CA.
OISF is a diversified event featuring: 15 ethnic streets with 42 food and alcohol booths. Food and alcohol booths are run by local non-profits with all proceeds going directly back to them. Handmade Arts and Crafts section featuring local artists and their crafts. Community Booth section showcasing local non-profits and the causes they support. Commercial Section featuring local companies promoting their businesses. A street dedicated to kids with crafts and games. 8 Stages of entertainment featuring local bands playing ethnic music and your favorite songs.
The kids will be performing at this Annual event on September 20th! Come out and see us!
Since its inception, the Fair has been the link between California’s agriculture industry and the public, providing a community gathering place where people learn about California’s heritage and enjoy traditional Fair food, activities and entertainment. In recent years the fair has moved away from such agricultural heritage by transitioning from livestock competitions for area growers and ranchers to hired petting zoos. In addition to the 13-acre Ray Cammack Shows carnival, the Fair has an operational farm, an outdoor miniature garden railroad, California’s Heritage Square historical exhibit and America’s Kids-Education Expo, where school children discover A Day Full of Learning Cleverly Disguised as Fun. The End of Summer Concert Series features 19 nights of first-run musical entertainment and freestyle motocross. FOOD. FUN. RIDES. There's definitely plenty to do for the entire family!
And if you are heading to Las Vegas and want to do something besides Gambling, you can check out the fairly new HIGH ROLLER - a 550-foot tall, 520- foot diameter giant Ferris wheel on the Las Vegas Strip and is the WORLD'S Tallest Ferris Wheel!
Or perhaps you are a bit more nostalgic... DID YOU KNOW: That there is a Neon Boneyard Museum in Las Vegas?
Where all of the classic neon signs of yesteryear lay to rest... The nearly two-acre campus includes an outdoor exhibition space, known as the Boneyard, which features more than 150 signs, seven of which are restored, a visitors' center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby and the Neon Boneyard North Gallery.
See you guys and gals back here tomorrow for some TBT FUN!
Wishing you a most Beautiful Day! -T

BACK to School!
Hi there. Well, here we are -- the first day of school. Everything went off without a hitch!
I'm not terribly happy with the early morning schedule, which I'm sure I'm not alone with the millions of other parents and kids!
But, it is what it is and here's to a great school year!!
I forgot to take pictures pictures of the girls going into school for their first day but I did manage to capture them at dismissal! Gianna already knew who her new 6th grade teacher was but for Kelsey it was a surprise.
Both kids were very happy at pick-up. The first day went well - pleased with teachers and friends in their classes!!! Yay - one hurdle over.
The rest of the day I have some running around to do. Errands, shopping, etc.
What I dread about the first few days of school are all the forms that have to be filled out and all the text books that have to be covered with contact paper.I HATE DOING THAT!! I'm not sure if public schools require this, but, the Catholic schools do!
I can't believe it's W2GW! As Tanya heads off to Las Vegas, I'll be hanging out in Westhampton for the weekend.
Here are a few things going on here in New York City for Labor Day weekend and the week following:
