Did you know that TODAY is National FOOD Day?! It is also National Make a Difference Day!
Greetings one and all, and welcome back to your favorite Travelin' Cousins duo! We are sure glad to have you back and glad to have you following us and our antics whether we are at home, on the road, in the air, or at sea. We are sharing our lives with YOU!
Before I go on with anything further, I would like to wish my cousin Danielle (Elisa's younger sister) a very Happy Birthday!
While Danielle is celebrating in Long Island, NY today and hopefully for at least the entire weekend, here's what we will be doing:
To begin our day, we will be heading to Freesoul Caffe (CLICK HERE for Review and Pictures) for a lovely breakfast. We recently ate there on Cosette's birthday and knew we couldn't wait too long before going back when we found a few new (off menu) additions to the already delicious menu!
And speaking of food (on National FOOD Day), there are a couple of things I want to mention:
1. I still didn't publish my FF (FOODIE FRIDAY). It's taking a bit longer than expected to upload the photographs for this weeks post. Sorry.
2. Later this evening we have a Fundraiser at the Veggie Grill in Long Beach to support the kids choir The International Peace Choir - which is a perfect fit for National Make a Difference Day - these kids and their purpose is to make a difference!
If you are local or localish please come by have a great meal and support this great group of kids AKA Peace Ambassadors! Just be sure to mention the Fundraiser and don't forget to stop by and say "Hi" to me while you're at it!
The rest of our day will be spent taking Dominic to his class and then hopefully a productive visit to the mall!!
So, before I forget (I'm just saying that, I wasn't really gonna forget)... Last night after dinner we did go and see the movie 'The Walk' based on the story of French high-wire artist Philippe Petit's walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on August 7, 1974. While this happened to be Dave's favorite movie of the year, I came out of it realizing what a lunatic this guy was!
Anyhow, while we were at the concession stand I had noticed a very interesting menu item - PICKLES!
And across the street from the movie theater were the absolute TALLEST Palm Trees that I have even see in my life!
Alrighty 'O, I'm gonna leave off right about here. Until tomorrow my friends...
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 19 DAYS

Here's your's truly!
So, we all know what a week from today is -- Halloween!!! Here are Americans 6 Best Towns for Halloween:
Park City, Utah With a great city march of the dogs, Park City becomes "Bark" City. Elaborately dressed dogs are paraded around during Park City's City’s Howl-o-Ween street party.
Chatham, Massachusetts Spooky sights including pumpkin heads and bodies dressed as lobsters, knights, scarecrows, pigs, pilgrims, brides, and even as the protagonist of Edvard Munch’s painting The Scream can be found in this Massachusetts town.
Harbor Springs, Michigan Every year, there's a Community Halloween Party where kids “Trunk-or-Treat” among parked and registered cars, and a childrens' parade with costumed school children. It's also the place to be to see hand-blown glass pumpkins and a live pumpkin glass-blowing demonstration.
Bar Harbor, Maine Known for many ghost stories and spooky happenings, including the white shapes of eight missionaries killed in 1613 are said to haunt Jesuit Springs; an orb of white supposedly materializes in a corner of the town’s funeral home; and ghosts of two women are rumored to slam doors and throw vases in a local inn.
Winter Park, Florida Winter Park is home to Pumpkins and Munchkins in Shady Park, with bounce houses, games, a costume contest, and a Trick-or-Treat Trail. Rollins College holds an annual Halloween Howl featuring haunted houses, carnival games, arts and crafts activities, and of course, a costume contest. The real treat here, however, is the Park Avenue Pet Costume Contest, with both large- and small-dog categories.
New Hope, Pennsylvania At Halloween time, the main event is The Rocky Horror Show at the Bucks County Playhouse. Local businesses get into the spirit as well with the scariest and most-originally decorated storefronts win prizes.
Well folks, hope you have a great day!!! I'm off for more horsin' around!!
