Why do I love Thursdays? Thursdays had never before signified any special meaning to me. Sure it maybe it's one day closer to the weekend, but that never really did anything for me.
But then once Elisa and I started the Travelin' Cousins Travel/Reality Blog, Thursdays have taken on a whole new meaning! TBT has become something that I so look forward to, whether it' my turn to story tell or Elisa's it is always great fun for me to reminisce and/or laugh along at my cousin's stories from the past!

It also means that I spend some time going through photographs...and in case I haven't already shared it with you - I love pictures! I love taking pictures and being behind the camera, I love being in pictures (all my fun photoshoots), and I love looking at pictures.
So with that interlude I will share a few fun Throwback Thursday pictures of the past with you...

Today is my turn to share a TBT story with y'all, and I will get to that, but for now I'm gonna talk about yesterdays SCOOP and a bit about TODAY.
Boy was I all over town yesterday, hadn't had a break from running around until finally getting home around 6pm and then immediately getting to work at sorting through and prepping our gear for this coming weekend trip to Joshua Tree National Park.
Yup as you might have noticed both Elisa and I have a trip planned for tomorrow!
*Side note - we will now actually not be able to leave until the wee early morning hours of Saturday.
While I'll be heading off into the wilderness of the the Colorado Desert (in California), she will be heading to Beantown - a city that I hold near and dear to my heart and have been going to annually since being before Dominic was born - (the kids paternal Irish Grandpa and family are from good ol' Boston). So we have grown very fond of the very Historic American City. Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States, founded on the Shawmut Peninsula way back in 1630!

It will be a delight to see Elisa's pictures and hear what the girls think of it (it will be there first time to Boston)!
So as Elisa and the girls head to the comforts of a hotel our gang here on the West Coast will be roughing it in a tent!! LOL
Weather wise it looks like it might be a bit chilly out in Boston on Saturday and almost as cold in Joshua Tree - but with no heated hotel room to warm up in. Brrr (inserted shivering)
Speaking of the weather, my sister Jet is being rather foolish and refusing to go out and purchase some sleeping bags for herself, Andrew, and Chaplin. I gave Chaplin Cosette's old sleeping bag, but I don't think that it is rated for the chilly temps that we are expecting. Jet was already complaining about the idea of being cold, and now without proper gear and wear, I foresee that she will be pretty miserable! She is definitely a SoCal and Orange County girl and with that in mind she doesn't own any winter clothing - so do ya see where I'm going with this??? Guess we'll see what happens... One of my stops yesterday was to the sporting goods store, I wanted to take a looksie. But because before I make any purchases I needed to assess the gear that we already have.
As of last night everything looked in good working order and with no missing pieces, however Cosette is in need of her own sleeping bag and we might want to grab an additional mattress (we have the room for it).
After dropping off the kids yesterday and much shopping I happened to be passing Dave's office and inquired if he had taken lunch yet. He didn't, so I swung by and we tried out a little Vegetarian Vietnamese place that was right down the road. The food was quite tasty and I enjoyed every bite! I'm glad we finally tried this place and now I look forward to going back!
Plenty to do today and I still gotta get those bags packed!!!
Catch ya tomorrow, -T
Elisa's Daily Blog NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 1 DAY
Travelin' with my Girls!
Hello again - it's Thursday already!
Well, sometimes Tanya and I travel together; sometimes we travel separately and at different times; and then others, like this week, we both travel separately at the same time!!
In Jackson Hole, Wyoming (April 2015)
Our trips overlap sometimes and that makes for some fun blogging! I love when we are both traveling simultaneously and you have two columns chock full of trip accounts!
Tomorrow, Tanya leaves for her "Star Gazing Good Times" Trip to Joshua Tree, National Park. I have to tell you, I CANNOT wait to see the photos from this trip!!
Guys, I know that each of us have loyal followers and as a result, you only read one of our columns. But, i have to suggest STRONGLY that during times of travel, you check out both of our columns, lest you miss any great travel experiences that tickle your fancy for planning your own trips.
As you know, I'll be heading to Boston tomorrow with my girlies. Cannot wait!!! I just love traveling me and my girls!!
Here are some Throwback Thursday travel flashbacks of me and my babies...

Yesterday, was a super day! The weather was terrible, but it didn't matter because I spent the day in the barn. We decided to go out east to spend their day off riding.
And boy did they do great!!

After a very productive lesson, we headed to Panera for dinner. Kelsey actually ordered a grilled cheese!! Of course, it had mozzarella instead of American cheese for my little Italian girl, but I was thrilled she tried something new.

With yesterday being Veteran's Day and the girls having riding AND the fact that it was the 7th Anniversary of my Grandma Rose's death, I decided to wait till today to commemorate another VERY significant anniversary yesterday...
Yesterday marked 6 months since my beloved Liberty passed away. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her and that I can break down in tears.
She was the very first baby that Tedd and I had together. We always liked to think that we selected her; but the truth is, she selected us. In fact, she ran right for Tedd - it was love at first sight for her and she was our fur baby for 13 years 9 months. The tears are streaming down now, as I recall that sweet 10 week old puppy running towards us.
Her death was devastating to our whole family and it's a day that will go down as one of the worst days ever.
I know she is over the rainbow bridge and romping - out of pain and back to her antics. She will be in my heart FOREVER and that of Tedd's and our kids.
