Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: PARK CITY, UTAH
Last Ski Trip of the 2015-16 Season
GREETINGS from Salt Lake City, in the Beehive state of Utah!
Dominic and I took the 9 hour drive yesterday from California through Nevada, a small corner of Arizona, and then finally Utah!
As with my road trips - my kiddos SNOOZE!
Crazy street names! Found on the Interstate 15 in California.
We caught a glimpse of the strip as we drove on by...
And of course anytime we are driving through Las Vegas there is one MUST STOP for vegans and I've shared it before...
So Dominic and I got our Donuts on!
I guess I go there ofter enough...
That the sweet owner of the shop had recognized me asked how we have been and told me that she hadn't seen us in a while (since Labor Day wkd 2015)!
Popping a donut hole for the road!
Then after 580+ miles we arrived and went straight to dinner at the Vertical Diner, where we indulged on shakes and all types of goodness...
I had ordered something called Dude Cakes - it was the craziest mountain of food on a plate that I have ever seen! There were 2 pancakes and stuffed between them was vegan sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Then it was topped with french fries (I don't even like french fries - so I'm not sure why I ordered it...oh yeah, because I had to see what this crazy sounding dish was like) and finally it was topped with GRAVY!
There was NO WAY on Earth that I could finish this plate of food that was in front of me.
So being that I was dining with my dear boy Dominic, who also happens to have the reputation of being a food disposal - I figured that nothing would go to waste, and I gave most of it away.
Now keep in mind that we already had appetizers and shakes, and that his own order couldn't fit on 1 plate - he was served 2 plates. Well when we were done, this kid was more full than I have ever seen him!!! And he eats 3 helpings a night!
Teenage boys apparently have amazing stomachs!
Lastly, after checking into to our hotel for the night, I was kinda pooped and happy to relax, which quickly turned into dozing off. Dave had arrived shortly after 10:30pm and luckily caught a shuttle, and we didn't need to go and pick him up.
Oh well guys, that's it for now - I've gotta head to the slopes!
Catch ya back here for more fun tomorrow, -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 15 DAYS
Where is Spring?
Saturday here folks!!
What's going on with New York Temperatures?? I thought Spring was well on its way.
The snow left a dusting on Long Island this week and temperatures are back down in the 30's today.
I guess Winter is not going out easily.
Today, my girlies are at the barn, doing their thing...riding and jumping their favorite equine friends!!
Gianna took these pictures for me to put on my blog today...
So, my cuz Tanya got back on the road yesterday and is now in Salt Lake City.
Did you check out her box of sweets!! mmmmmm <<<---<<<---<<<---<<<---<<<
She and Dominic certainly had a food-filled day!!
Back on this end, I've been taking care of some unexpected personal business yesterday and today - hence my absence yesterday from The Daily Scoop.
Hopefully, no more MIA's for me this week.
I'm very excited because I have a number of local fun trips and tours planned for the coming week, which I cannot wait to tell you all about!!
