Well Hello finally!! I was a bit MIA today - had to take the kids out to the barn and wouldn't you know it - I left in such a rush - I left my laptop home. I hate when that happens.
On the one hand, it made for a super boring afternoon not having my laptop to write and go onto the internet. However, on the other hand, it provided me with some time to catch up on some phone calls to family members and friends and that was really fun!
My dad had me hysterically laughing with stories from his old job adventures from when he worked for Electrolux vacuum company and "Martin Paint Stores." Silly stuff.
Anyway, the girls had a great day of riding, though it was a tad chilly in the barn. I ran over to Tanger Outlets in hopes of piecing up a few work-out outfits, but I never made it in the stores - didn't have the patience to shop - so I grabbed some food instead.
I NEVER eat pizza but the broccoli, spinach, tomato slice looked too good to pass up so I went for a it! I've heard that it's healthy to give into a craving here and there.
On another note I've decided to finalize Lent with giving up Facebook. I've realized that while I love keeping up with the status of my many friends - old and new - I need to retreat a bit from the overstimulation of it all.
I think it will also prove to be a good show of my willpower to use my spare time more wisely in meditating, exercising and spending more quality time with the girls. Let's see how it goes!
As I mentioned, I joined Lifetime Fitness and I'm attempting to get myself there everyday - this will only be my second day lol - in any case, I do apologize for making this such a short blog, but having just run in from the barn, had the girls do a quick turn around in showering and getting dressed and feeding Punkin, I'm headed back out to get some exercise in.
I'll be back tomorrow with more to say!
Please catch up on Tanya's blog, if you haven't already regarding her birthday weekend - happening right now - and the 2017 World Baseball Classic!!!
Have a great Saturday!! -E xoxo
Tanya's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 2 DAYS
LOOKOUT - Special Day ahead
Hey Hey Hey and a Happy Day! A very berry happy day - as everyday should be.
Today is a very special day - not as special as tomorrow. But very special indeed - it's my Birthday eve!!!!
We are heading down to San Diego at this very moment - right here and now as I type...can't get any more LIVE than this!
So while we were watching the MLB World Series back in Oct. 2016 I happened to notice the advertisements for the World Baseball Classic and being the Baseball lover/fan that I am, I was certainly intrigued.
When I looked it up and found that San Diego was one of the locations and some of the games would take place the weekend of my birthday - I was SOLD!
There was no more planning that needed to be done for my birthday - we were going to San Diego!
Originally I had planned to stay the weekend, but soon realized that since Friday was St. Patrick's Day, I would prefer to enjoy the holiday with the fam bam at home and that we'd come up on Saturday - happening right now!
I also scratched the idea of even staying overnight tonight. Being that it would get me home later than I should be in order to share my birthday with my loved ones. And of course the fact that we are leaving first thing on Monday adds to that cause.
So instead I've limited it to just the one day - but as you know in my world one day = several in other lives. LOL In fact - as we were chatting last night about our departure time for this morning Dave and the kids were griping just a tad and when I said that at least he doesn't have work today he replied that work is easy - this is for real and at that Dominic started laughing and insisting how true that statement is.
SIDE EFFECTS of hanging out with me has been know to cause exhaustion in people!
You'll get to hear all about how our day goes in tomorrow's Daily Scoop.
Now let's get into a bit of yesterday's SCOOP and recap on St. Patrick's Day...a family day, which also turned into a bit of a pampering day for me.
While I still had lots-o errands and chores to take care of - they all had to be done before picking up my cute little Mika (my niece) from school. She was donning green - as was I and everyone else who was being festive...even my mom was wearing green. :)

I had stepped out for an appointment at the salon and was immediately surprised with a lovely and beautifully fragrant pre-birthday bouquet from Dave B. It's so super pretty - I need to take even more pictures of it.

Once I got home, Dave C. was already in full force in the kitchen making a yummy Irish soup and a vegan version of Corned Beef/Cabbage/and Potatoes. Andrew was turning out some biscuits and Shepard's Pie, and I needed to make our homemade and quite delicious butter and our Irish Soda Bread. All the while my little Chaplin (niece for those of you who don't know) was an eager little beaver wearing her apron and ready to help however she could. It was darling! And I know that if Mika was at home that she would be standing right there along side. *Mika had gone out to dinner with Michael.

Dinner was a family affair with servings galore. We were all sitting around the table enjoying the blessings bestowed upon us. It was my mom, Brigitte, Dave B., Dave C., Andrew, Jet, Chaplin, Myself, Dominic, Cosette and even Houston.
And boy was it all filling! I don't understand how or why, but that meal really stuffed my gut. LOL
Anyhow, we are about to arrive in downtown San Diego and there is much to do. So please join us back here tomorrow for my birthday celebration and for all of today's scoop.
