Happy Birthday Mommy!Hey there! Well, today is a great day all around! First of all, it is my mom's 70th Birthday! A BIG SHOUT OUT TO MY MOMMY!!! I HOPE IT'S A WONDERFUL DAY!! Today also happens to be when I will be seeing The River on Broadway with Hugh Jackman!! I've always been a fan of Mr. Jackman from the big screen, BUT, when I first saw him on Broadway in The Boy From Oz, I was mesmerized by his talent. And of course, when you combine this with his gorgeous looks...it is no wonder he has become the success he is! I am cautiously optimistic about getting up close and personal tonight to Mr Jackman at the stage door following the performance. You all know how much I love to go into my pushy New Yorker mode and get a selfie with the stars of each show I see. We will have to see what the situation is - sometimes with big stars, the security is very tight, the crowd is extraordinarily huge and the performer is whisked through quickly to a waiting vehicle. I plan to get out of my seats quickly and get out to that stage door ASAP. Stay tuned for tomorrow with the low down on how I fared! In other news, today is Foodie Friday and Tanya has the stage front and center with one of her favorite eateries! Well, I'm on my way to getting my day started!! -E | Back to Back Horsey Days!Yup, yesterday I took the gals (Cosette, Jet, and Chaplin) to the stables to go see Dream and Star. Mostly for grooming, giving them love, and indulging them with treats! And today I'll be venturing out to take Cosette for her Horseback riding lesson this afternoon. This girls brain runs on horses the way mine runs on travel! I'm pretty much finished packing for the kids, with a few last minute items to toss in the luggage. But I haven't even started out packing for myself!!! I'm about to tackle that right now, and hopefully be all finished by the time we leave for the stables. Cross your fingers for me!! Now on another note! (like the pun?) Thought I would briefly touch on some music - Lately I've just been in love with Sam Smith... His incredibly soulful voice and the passionate attributes that come through with each and every lyric. When I hear one of his songs, it stops me dead in my tracks and I have no choice but to listen and sing along! I only recently bought The Lonely Hour CD and it just captures me. Listen and watch below as Sam Smith covers Tracy Chapman's Fast Car in the LIVE lounge. While personally I was never a huge fan of the original version of this song; Let's just say that with Sam Smith's smooth vocals; I am now quite fond of it! However as you can probably imagine that this is not one of the songs on the CD that I'm belting out (along side Cosette). Those songs can really be felt deep down in ones soul, and with so much feeling and emotion! I urge you to check him out! A few of my favorites include: I'm Not The Only One Stay With Me Latch Music is also a very powerful source of inspiration and can definitely affect our mood! I'm gonna get down to business now, I'll be back later with TODAY'S FOODIE FRIDAY FEATURE on: Chef Alfredos Italian Restaurant in Cedar City, Utah - a rather unlikely surprise! Ciao 4 Now, -T |
